- Liberty State Park is the departure point from New Jersey. The ticket office is located within the Central Railroad of New Jersey Terminal in Liberty State Park.
- The Security Screening Facility and ferry departure is located behind the Central Railroad of New Jersey Terminal.
- Ample parking for cars and buses. Easy access from the New Jersey Turnpike and Interstate 78.
- We recommend that you include ample time and maintain a flexible schedule to include boarding the ferry and clearing the Screening Facility.

Note: The time printed on your ticket indicates when you should join the queue to enter the security screening facility, not a specific departure. You may only join the queue to enter the security screening facility at the time referenced on your ticket. Ferries depart approximately every 30-40 minutes depending upon the departure point. Note: When choosing your time, this is your entry into the Security Facility not the entry time into the Pedestal of the Statue of Liberty National Monument and not a specific departure time. The wait time can be several hours, particularly during peak season including summer, weekends, and holidays.

- Self-service lockers (25 cents required) are available prior to entering the Pedestal of the Statue of Liberty National Monument. All items left in the lockers must be collected after the tour. The National Park is not responsible for any items of value placed in the lockers.
- Guests 17 and under must be accompanied by an Adult 21 or above or the child's legal guardian.
- There are no locker storage areas at the screening facility at Liberty State Park.
- The last trip from Ellis Island that will allow enough time to enter the Pedestal is the 2:40 pm departure from Ellis Island to Liberty Island.
- The Audio Tours are available for the Statue of Liberty National Monument and Ellis Island. The Audio Tour is available in Arabic, English, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.
Refunds will be provided if cancellations are made 24 hours prior to visit date. Refunds will also be provided if the islands are closed for security, safety or weather reasons. Unused tickets will not be refunded.
