Self-Guided Audio Tours

Included with every Statue City Cruises ticket, the self-guided audio tours allow you to explore Liberty Island and Ellis Island at your own pace.

Professionally narrated tours feature historic photographs, firsthand accounts, and fascinating stories about the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and the millions of people whose lives were shaped by these historic sites.

Where to Pick Up

Liberty Island: Audio tour devices are available on the right side of the main pathway after you disembark the ferry.

Ellis Island: Audio tour devices are available inside the Ellis Island National Museum of Immigration.

Audio tours are available in: Arabic, English, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish.

Accessible versions, including American Sign Language (ASL) and Audio Description (AD), are also available.

National Park Service Ranger-Led Programs

National Park Service Rangers offer free 30-minute guided walking tours throughout the day on Liberty Island and Ellis Island. These engaging programs explore the history, construction, symbolism, and restoration of the Statue of Liberty, the story of Ellis Island, and the people who helped shape America's immigration history.

Along the way, you'll have the opportunity to ask questions, learn about New York Harbor, and gain a deeper appreciation for the meaning of liberty. Programs are weather dependent, vary by day, and are included with admission.
